Oswego County Community Schools

Established in the fall of 2024, and reinforced through collaboration around NYSED’s regionalization initiative, Oswego County Community Schools is a coalition of nine school districts, CiTi BOCES and more than 20 community partners with a shared vision and purpose.

Grounded in the Essentials for Community Schools Transformation framework, the coalition intentionally and strategically connects students, families, schools and community partners to:

• provide access to resources and services that build on community strengths and meet community needs

• create the conditions that empower every child and family to envision and achieve a successful future in which they make a positive impact on our community

• promote positive learning experiences, a sense of belonging, dignity, safety, equity, and mutual accountability for achieving our community’s goals.

The coalition provides the systems and structure, as well as coordinated facilitation of county-wide efforts to collaborate more intentionally and sustainably. By examining data, identifying strengths and needs, and executing targeted action plans, we help create the conditions for our children to thrive through each phase of life, from birth to adulthood.
