CNY Community Schools, in collaboration with Peaceful Schools, provides exemplars and instruction on integrating Multi-Tiered Systems of Support theory with Community Schools.  Emphasis is placed on ensuring Family and Community Engagement as a pillar of community schools and approaching the work associated with that pillar through a tiered structure.   Participants will leave understanding the overlay of Community Schools and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support and head back to their schools and communities with an appreciation of how they are already using Community Schools strategies in an MTSS framework, and with ideas on how to further organize their efforts.   The FLX Community Schools model that calls for “Culturally Responsive Trauma Informed Community Schools that organize a continuum of evidence-based and restorative practices using a Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports” and the Collaboration ARCH from FLX Community Schools are offered as one example.
