The NYS Community Schools Thruway Coalition and the Poughkeepsie Children’s Cabinet are excited to present Transformational Community Schools, a two-day invite-only convening bringing together educators, nonprofit leaders, policymakers, and community partners committed to advancing equitable outcomes for children and families.

Held August 13–14, 2026 at Dutchess County BOCES in Poughkeepsie, NY, this event will explore Community Schools as a powerful pathway strategy for strengthening cradle-to-career systems and creating lasting, place-based impact. Attendees will hear from leading voices in the field, including representatives from the National Center for Community Schools, the Coalition for Community School Excellence, the NYS Network for Youth Success, HOPE585, and the Institute for Educational Leadership.
