Diane Fox

Diane Fox has over 30 years of experience in education and has served as Superintendent of Saranac Lake Central School District for the past 12 years. From the start, her leadership has been grounded in connection, community, and service. Under her guidance, the district has grown into a model Community School, offering students personalized opportunities through strategic partnerships with colleges, local businesses, and regional organizations.

A steady leader through complex change, Diane is known for her empathy, commitment to innovation, and support for staff well-being. She believes meaningful progress often requires doing things differently, not just better—and she leads by example. Even when decisions are tough, she remains focused on what’s best for students.
