Jay Roscup

Jay Roscup is the Wayne County Community Schools Director.  His career includes non-profit executive leadership, school administration, grant writing, classroom teaching and collaboration building.  Experiences in early childhood, juvenile justice, out of school time program, education, school safety,  mental health support and career and workforce development provide a broad perspective that encompass the essential components of Community Schools.  Jay is at home doing Community Schools work because he believes in collaboration and the importance of place-based and person-centered work.  He is currently the Project Director for a US Dept of Education Full Service Community Schools grant and is the organizing leader for the NYS Community Schools Thruway Coalition. He is a member of the advisory board for the NYS Community Schools Network.  Over the course of the last decade, he has participated in securing more than $100 million in grant funds for Wayne County.  He chairs the Wayne County Coordinating Council, co-chairs the Wayne County Partnership, and leads the Wayne County Community Schools Coalition.
